AgaNool Privacy Policy

AgaNool (அகநூல்) is a privacy-first, offline-first, Tamil-first personal organizer for Android, built by Plenitude Systems Private Limited. It helps you keep personal records — finances, farm, family, notes, reminders, panchangam and more — entirely on your own device.

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, no login, and no cloud server. We do not run a backend that stores user data. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier, and no third-party advertising SDK.

1. Who we are

AgaNool is published by Plenitude Systems Private Limited (CIN: U62012TN2026PTC192818), a company registered in India. In this policy, "AgaNool", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Plenitude Systems.

2. Data storage and handling

All data you enter into AgaNool is stored locally on your device. It never leaves the device except in the specific cases described in Section 4 (which are outbound content downloads and optional user-initiated sync — no personal data from the app is uploaded).

• The local database is encrypted at rest using SQLCipher.
• You can optionally lock the app with a PIN and/or biometric (fingerprint / face) unlock.
• Biometric authentication is handled by Android; your biometric data never leaves the device and is not accessible to us.

3. Backups and uninstallation

Backups are user-initiated and encrypted with a passphrase you choose. When you create a backup:

• You choose the destination through the Android share sheet (your own Drive account, email, local storage, or any other target you pick).
• We do not receive, see, or process the backup file.
• If you lose your passphrase, we cannot recover your backup — it stays encrypted on the destination you sent it to.

Uninstalling the app removes all local AgaNool data from your device. Any backups you have created and stored elsewhere remain under your control at that destination.

4. Network use

AgaNool works fully offline. The app uses the network only for the following two purposes.

4.1 Promotional content ("More from Plenitude")

When online, the app fetches a small, digitally signed content file from plenitude.in over HTTPS to display our own product promotions and sponsor cards. This is an outbound content download only — no personal data from the app is sent.

As with any web request, our hosting/CDN provider may observe standard request metadata such as the device's IP address. This metadata is not linked to any in-app data or to any identity. If the device is offline, the app works normally and simply shows nothing in the promotional area.

4.2 Optional device-to-device sync (local Wi-Fi)

You may optionally sync your data between two of your own devices over the same local Wi-Fi network. This is a direct, encrypted peer-to-peer connection between your devices. The data never passes through our servers or the public internet.

5. Permissions we request and why

• Internet / Network state — to fetch the promotional content described in Section 4.1 and to enable local-network device-to-device sync described in Section 4.2. No personal data is uploaded.
• Camera — to scan a QR code when pairing two devices for local sync, and to let you attach photos to your own records. Photos stay on the device.
• Notifications — to show reminders you have created, generated on-device. No push server is used.
• Biometric — for optional local app unlock only. Biometric data never leaves the device and is handled by Android.

6. Third-party links

Promotional or sponsor cards inside the app may open an external website in your browser when you tap them. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

7. Children

AgaNool is a general-purpose personal organizer and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
